TraceTech Solutions was founded in May, 2009 by Steven Schottenfeld.

Mr. Schottenfeld holds a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University.  Prior to founding TraceTech Solutions, Mr. Schottenfeld's career spanned thirty-five years of high-tech product development and data analysis.

Mr. Schottenfeld began his career as an employee of Harvard Medical School's Drug Abuse Research Center where he developed state-of-the-art computer programs to collect and analyze EEG data.

Mr. Schottenfeld then joined Motorola Corporation where for sixteen years he developed computer networking products, including products that analyzed the status and "health" of large, sometimes world-wide, computer networks.

In 1994, Mr. Schottenfeld joined GTECH Corporation as Director of Network Products Software Development.  GTECH Corporation holds commercial rights to a patent of his.

In 1999, Mr. Schottenfeld became the Director of Software Product Development at Vality Corporation, a company that analyzed and consolidated large, disparate corporate databases.

In 2002, Mr. Schottenfeld joined the accounting firm of Gray, Gray & Gray LLP in Westwood, Massachusetts.  As the Director of Management Information Systems, Mr. Schottenfeld wrote software applications that helped the firm to better understand the financials of one of the firm's key niche markets.  As a consequence of one of his research projects at the firm, Mr. Schottenfeld began to see how vulnerable small businesses are to fraud and how computerized data analytics can help those small businesses to detect fraud.  That understanding ultimately led to the founding of TraceTech Solutions.
